Deception temptation by the Devil

UNDERSTANDING TEMPTATION OF DECEPTION BY THE DEVIL (UPDATED) MUST READ

We all have heard stories about the crooked salesman who did their best to defraud someone and rob them of their life’s savings. We know about corrupt businessmen who use false accounting to cheat investors and avoid taxes. The CEO who trades his integrity for deception and gives himself a 20 million dollar bonus while the company fails into a foreclosure status.

In the like manner there are deceptions by the devil which has cost people lose their own lives and also they have been stolen of their eternal life through deception.

When you look at this generation today, we are living in a world of deception and this has been brought up by the devil and the majority have accepted that deception, For Jesus Christ died, buried and he rose up from the dead and he gave his formulae so that we may follow it and get things the way he does them, but still very many people have not understood it, they are still operating in the natural or mortal body that dies and when buried never resurrected, and this is how it is because people have depended upon their thoughts other than God’s ways and Minds.

When Jesus Christ died, he was setting us free from the death that Adam and Eve had experienced because they died in Spirit and in this case they were cast out of the presence of God because they disobeyed God and they sinned. And died in Spirit which means that their connection to the Spiritual realms was no longer there, you must remember that when God said to Adam and Eve that if you ate the Fruit of Knowledge of good and evil, he did not mean that real death immediately, but he meant Spiritual death and eventually which would lead us into Hell because we were not Spiritually connected to God and as a result of sin, therefore we became ignorant of God’s Spiritual realm reality and he operates Spiritually and then things manifest in the physical realms as he had created them spiritually.

Now the work of Jesus Christ was to bring us back to the same reality of Spiritual realms which Adam and Eve had before the Fall because they were Spiritually connected to all the works of God he created in the Spiritually realms therefore having full presence of God and we must also understand that God is Spirit and he operates in the Spiritual realms and then makes things manifest in the physical realms like the way he makes them in the Spiritual realms.

Jesus Christ experienced the death, Burial and the Resurrection, and this why we must live in Christ by doing the same, by not seeing things in worldly view or physical but we should see them as he sees them because Jesus Christ is Spirit and he wants us to have mind like his. By seeing the way he sees things, let get some scriptures in understanding all this so that we may avoid deceptions by the Devil;

For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin— because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.

Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.

In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness. For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.

Slaves to Righteousness

What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no means! Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance. You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness. Romans6; 6-18.

Now Apostle Paul brings it up very well, that we must experience death with Christ once we accept him in our lives meaning we put all our body desires to the cross and have a mind of Christ and we live with Christ Jesus, in simple terms you live with Christ who is Spirit when you are Spiritual minded and you now see the way Jesus Christ sees things, because Jesus Christ sees things in the Spiritual form and reality and therefore he says once you have accepted him then he is in you and it will be God who will work in you to bring all the revelations about the Spiritual reality because you will be in his presence, let’s look at one ordinary example if you were staying with someone who is not in your lifestyle it will be hard for you to live with such a person, Isn’t it? Of course Yes, the reason is that your desires will not be his/ her desires and you eventually develop quarrel and then split afterwards simply because you were contrary to one another, in this view you can also see that you cannot stay in the presence of God when you continually contradict with him by focusing on what he is not focusing on, therefore your ways will not be God’s ways hence you will eventually be pushed by own desires out of God’s presence because you are not doing what he does not want.

Dear brethren you must understand that the work for Jesus Christ was to enable us keep in the presence of God through his death, burial and resurrection, what do I mean here, that if you have accepted Christ then you must accept to die in flesh and that same flesh should be buried and you shall be resurrected in Spirit, this pattern of Death, Burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ is seen in the Spiritual realms not physical realm because you cannot die naturally then bury yourself then resurrect yourself. The pattern is a process and you must experience it if you need to live with Christ Jesus always, because the Spirit of God will be a live because of righteousness, and this brings us to know that, accepting Jesus Christ is a savior is a step, then being buried is another step, and also your Spirit being raised in another Step which comes with righteousness and Holiness, here is a wonderful scripture;

Do not be misled: “Bad Company corrupts good character.” Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God—I say this to your shame.

The Resurrection Body

But someone will ask, “How are the dead raised? With what kind of body will they come?” How foolish! What you sow does not come to life unless it dies. When you sow, you do not plant the body that will be, but just a seed, perhaps of wheat or of something else. But God gives it a body as he has determined, and to each kind of seed he gives its own body. Not all flesh is the same: People have one kind of flesh, animals have another, birds another and fish another. There are also heavenly bodies and there are earthly bodies; but the splendor of the heavenly bodies is one kind, and the splendor of the earthly bodies is another. The sun has one kind of splendor, the moon another and the stars another; and star differs from star in splendor.

So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.

If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. So it is written: “The first man Adam became a living being; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit. The spiritual did not come first, but the natural, and after that the spiritual. The first man was of the dust of the earth; the second man is of heaven. As was the earthly man, so are those who are of the earth; and as is the heavenly man, so also are those who are of heaven. And just as we have borne the image of the earthly man, so shall we bear the image of the heavenly man. 1corrinthians15; 33-49

Now the scripture says that;

“The first man Adam became a living being; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit

In this case we can see that the second Adam became a life giving Spirit and we must understand that since everything was created through Jesus Christ, then the second man was Christ Jesus living in Adam but when he sinned then the Spirit God left Adam and now he started not seeing the reality of God in spiritual realms since he did not have the Spirit of God, and we must also know that Christ Jesus says I am the Resurrection and the Life;

Jesus said to her,

Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.”

Martha answered, “I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.”

“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

“Yes, Lord,” she replied, “I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.” John11; 23-27.

Looking at the paradigm of Martha and Jesus Christ actually Martha had believed in Jesus Christ but did not have much revelation about the works that are done in the Spiritual realms, because she did not have the Holy Spirit, therefore when Jesus Christ asked about the resurrection of Lazarus she knew that Lazarus would be raised at the last day, but that was not the view of Jesus Christ but Jesus Christ understood her view and knew he added her more faith she would believe and then her Faith would be seen in the Spiritual realms and then the dead would be raised, for Jesus Christ gave her the word of Faith

“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” when Martha saw how Jesus Christ was describing himself with much Faith then gained faith and believed after hearing the word from Jesus Christ, this also brings that when Jesus Christ says he is the Life it means he gives life, the bible says through him all things were made, both the invisible and the visible, Colossians1;15-17 since he gives life then we must take on his pattern of death, Burial and the resurrection and start seeing things in spiritual dimension and this means we have to accept Christ Jesus in our lives and die every day in his death and suffer with him in the suffering until we have attained his fullness.

The scripture says. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. 1corrinthians15; 22.

Now we all die in Adam because of sin but because of Jesus Christ since he is life giving we are made alive. For people have fallen into the deception of the devil saying you cannot be like Jesus Christ, this is because people are looking at the physical appearance and they take Jesus Christ to be flesh or mortal which is wrong, For the Scripture says that we shall be like Jesus Christ, this means that we must get things in the view of the Spiritual realms the way Jesus Christ used to see them, we need to clothe ourselves with Jesus Christ and we die with him in his death, be buried and be resurrected with him, there we will start seeing things the way he sees them because we shall be operating in Spirit, and this is wonderful.

This why the scripture says; God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. 2corrinthians5; 21.

The scripture continually says;

See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.

Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin. No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him. 1John3; 1-6,

Now the great love is that we can see realities about the works of God in spiritual dimensions and able to apprehend them, he has given us the power of his creation who is Jesus Christ the wisdom of God, the world cannot see him or know him because they are flesh and blood therefore once you are flesh and blood you cannot see beyond the spiritual realms you don’t have Christ living in you, we be like Jesus Christ if we start understanding that he is the one who makes things, and if we see the way he see things in the spiritual realms, now the reason is that once you are operating in the spirit, the spirit cannot be corrupted or polluted but the flesh is always corrupted and vulnerable to sin, therefore if we make the Spirit of God, the Spirit of Christ in us our strength then we shall overcome the evil and all deceptions, in the reality of Spiritual realms victory was made on the cross, what happened on the cross was Spiritual because Spiritually were vulnerable to sin and to evil since the devil had captured our spiritual understanding through sin, but the Father has given his Love and this is that he has Loved us by offering his son Jesus Christ who is the central of all creation to be the offering for sin in order to dis arm the powers of the devil and which he did, those who believe on him and follow his ways then they see this victory, but with physical eyes you cannot see anything. It becomes like a fairytale and a mystery, here he says;

It is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.

Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said: “Sacrifice and offering you did not desire,

But a body you prepared for me; with burnt offerings and sin offerings you were not pleased.

Then I said, ‘Here I am—it is written about me in the scroll—I have come to do your will, my God.’ ”First he said, “Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them”—though they were offered in accordance with the law. Then he said, “Here I am, I have come to do your will.” He sets aside the first to establish the second. And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. Hebrews10; 4-10.

Jesus Christ brought it very well, that from the beginning sacrifices were there and therefore, people were justified by the offerings they made and in case of any sin, they would sacrifice to purify the person with blood of the bulls or goats but now this could not go on and on since people would sin every other time, and would again need bull sacrifice for the person who sinned and the person to do sacrifice on behalf of the sinner, God saw it was not overcoming sin, because people would not be transformed even when they sins have been purified, God prepared a body which was flesh for someone who was Spirit( Christ) in order to dwell in that body and overcome flesh, by sacrifice on the cross, meaning he offered his body and partook in our usual body but he was not flesh because flesh is always full of desires, Jesus Christ dwelt in flesh body but he was operating in spiritual realms that why most people could not understand who Jesus Christ was, because they used to see him in distorted view of human and were not revealed about his power, richness in the Spiritual reality, and this puzzled many Jews because they did not believe in him since they were seeing Jesus Christ from the next door, of course using physical eyes; let me give you an example of people or the Pharisees wrestling with Jesus Christ in the words because they were seeing him with our naked eyes which he called un belief;

Not until halfway through the festival did Jesus go up to the temple courts and begin to teach. The Jews there were amazed and asked, “How did this man get such learning without having been taught?”

Jesus answered, “My teaching is not my own. It comes from the one who sent me. Anyone who chooses to do the will of God will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own. Whoever speaks on their own does so to gain personal glory, but he who seeks the glory of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him. Has not Moses given you the law? Yet not one of you keeps the law. Why are you trying to kill me?”

“You are demon-possessed,” the crowd answered. “Who is trying to kill you?”

Jesus said to them, “I did one miracle, and you are all amazed. Yet, because Moses gave you circumcision (though actually it did not come from Moses, but from the patriarchs), you circumcise a boy on the Sabbath. Now if a boy can be circumcised on the Sabbath so that the law of Moses may not be broken, why are you angry with me for healing a man’s whole body on the Sabbath? Stop judging by mere appearances, but instead judge correctly.”

Division Over Who Jesus Is

At that point some of the people of Jerusalem began to ask, “Isn’t this the man they are trying to kill? Here he is, speaking publicly, and they are not saying a word to him. Have the authorities really concluded that he is the Messiah? But we know where this man is from; when the Messiah comes, no one will know where he is from.”

Then Jesus, still teaching in the temple courts, cried out, “Yes, you know me, and you know where I am from. I am not here on my own authority, but he who sent me is true. You do not know him, but I know him because I am from him and he sent me.”

At this they tried to seize him, but no one laid a hand on him, because his hour had not yet come. Still, many in the crowd believed in him. They said, “When the Messiah comes, will he perform more signs than this man?”

The Pharisees heard the crowd whispering such things about him. Then the chief priests and the Pharisees sent temple guards to arrest him.

Jesus said, “I am with you for only a short time, and then I am going to the one who sent me. You will look for me, but you will not find me; and where I am, you cannot come.”

The Jews said to one another, “Where does this man intend to go that we cannot find him? Will he go where our people live scattered among the Greeks, and teach the Greeks? What did he mean when he said, ‘You will look for me, but you will not find me,’ and ‘Where I am, you cannot come’?”

On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them. “By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified.

On hearing his words, some of the people said, “Surely this man is the Prophet.”

Others said, “He is the Messiah.”

Still others asked, “How can the Messiah come from Galilee? Does not Scripture say that the Messiah will come from David’s descendants and from Bethlehem, the town where David lived?” Thus the people were divided because of Jesus. Some wanted to seize him, but no one laid a hand on him.

Unbelief of the Jewish Leaders

Finally the temple guards went back to the chief priests and the Pharisees, who asked them, “Why didn’t you bring him in?”

“No one ever spoke the way this man does,” the guards replied.

“You mean he has deceived you also?” the Pharisees retorted. “Have any of the rulers or of the Pharisees believed in him? No! But this mob that knows nothing of the law—there is a curse on them.”

Nicodemus, who had gone to Jesus earlier and who was one of their own number, asked, “Does our law condemn a man without first hearing him to find out what he has been doing?”

They replied, “Are you from Galilee, too? Look into it, and you will find that a prophet does not come out of Galilee. Then they all went home, John7; 24-53.

Looking critically at the scripture Jesus Christ was telling the Jewish leaders not to see things with their naked eyes and they judge because they had distorted view of Jesus Christ reflection, these people all thought the messiah would be in great glory since they knew that he would come from the throne of David and David was a King and so they knew a King would be walking with servants, chariot of horses and now when they saw Jesus Christ as he was with nothing in the physical realms they said this cannot be the messiah in fact they wanted to arrest him because according to their expectation of a Messiah in the physical appearance they had thought, Jesus Christ was taken to be a liar to the Jews and this is he called it un belief and he told them to judge not by appearance but to judge correctly in view of the Spirit but they did not still understand it, one thing I have observed is that physical appearance deceives us and it is Satan who has deceived us with that deception through sin and flesh minds because if we continue to see things and expect things in the physical or visible realms we shall not see the Lord and he will pass by us since we are blind in the spiritual realms and reality of operation of Christ Jesus, because transformation is always done in the spiritual then eventually is manifested in the physical this is because once something has been done spiritually it cannot be corrupted it will be protected and this is why the victory on the cross because it was made Spiritually but not physical it is manifested in the physical because it was done in the Spiritual realm.

Colossian says;

In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins[c] of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it. Colossians2; 11-15

But did you know there’s a thief who wants to rob you of the most valuable possession of all-your eternal life and your future with GOD. This thief works through deceptive practices, from selfish vanity to pride to dangerous occultism, seeking to turn people away from the truth and the way of life that brings true happiness-GOD’s way. It’s certainly easy to be misguided. Eve was beguiled in the Garden of Eden and from there we have humanities fragile stature. Satan stood in the background and waited for the most opportune time to proceed with his demonic plans. He injected his reasoning then and continues to do so to this very day.

Many of you have read the Bible where is warns of a great spiritual war that will take place in the future-actually the VERY NEAR future. Many of us living now will actually experience this war, and troubled times. But notice this amazing statement: “So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him” (Revelation 12:9).Read that carefully. Satan, the devil, deceives the whole world! That means the people of every nation.

Yes, Satan has many strategies, schemes, and devices to deceive us. Some unknowingly worship him as an “angel of light” while others look to him through séances, tarot cards, channeling and astrology. Millions of people dabble in the occult and seek answers from soothsayers and mystics. These dark practices are deceptive, and most who call themselves Christians can recognize blatant satanic influence. But Satan also has many other more subtle schemes.

Deception: False Doctrine;

Sadly, the majority will not practice the truth. Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fablesOne of the major errors of professing Christianity is the practice, by some, of pagan traditions. Many do not realize that Easter eggs are a pagan symbol of fertility. Decorated trees, holly wreaths, and mistletoe were pagan traditions. December 25 was celebrated as the birth of Mithras, the sun god; it was not the date of Jesus’ birth. Should Christians observe Valentine’s Day? In 496ad, Pope Gelasius I established the Feast of St. Valentine on February 14. Previously, since the days of ancient Rome, young lovers had often observed the Lupercalia—the feast of Lupercus, a fertility god—on February 15. Even in ancient Greece, mid-February was associated with love and fertility; the Greek month of Gamelion, ending in mid-February, was associated with the marriage of the gods Zeus and Hera.The historian Will Durant gave this analysis: “Christianity did not destroy paganism; it adopted it. The Greek mind, dying, came to a transmigrated life in the theology and liturgy of the church; the Greek language, having reigned for centuries over philosophy, became the vehicle of Christian literature and ritual; the Greek mysteries passed down into the impressive mystery of the Mass. Other pagan cultures contributed to the syncretist result.… Christianity was the last creation of the ancient pagan world” (The Story of Civilization, pp. 595, 599).Are you practicing pagan traditions in the name of Christianity? Remember Jesus’ warning to the Pharisees and scribes concerning certain religious customs. He warned them, “All too well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition” (Mark 7:9).

The book of Revelation warns us about one of the most pervasive deceptions. The Apostle John saw in vision the famous four horsemen of the Apocalypse. He wrote: “And I looked, and behold, a white horse. He who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer” (Revelation 6:2). As we have pointed out in previous articles, the true Revelator is Jesus Christ. He reveals the meaning of this white horse and its rider. Jesus described that the white horse symbolizes false religion—including those who falsely claim to come in Christ’s name: “And Jesus answered and said to them: ‘Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, saying, “I am the Christ,” and will deceive many’” (Matthew 24:4–5).Yes, Jesus predicted that many would use His name and “deceive many.” In verse 24, Jesus states that “false Christ’s and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.” Will you be deceived? The Devil, Satan, has deceived the whole world. Those whom he deceives he holds captive. We must all be on guard against the devil’s deceptions, we must not be unaware of his schemes.

Deception: Lust Human nature is filled with vanity, jealousy, greed, and lust. Satan can take advantage of that tendency and weakness in all of us. He sends temptation through the media—movies, television, magazines and the Internet—and through carnal and covetous individuals.

The Apostle Paul warned married couples not to deprive one another from sexual relations. Otherwise, Satan could take advantage of our carnal nature. “Do not deprive one another except with consent for a time, that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again so that Satan does not tempt you because of your lack of self-control” (1 Corinthians 7:5).

In our modern age, sexual temptations are all around us. So, the Apostle Paul advised those who might lack self-control, “Nevertheless, because of sexual immorality, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband” (1 Corinthians 7:2).We need to understand that lust, greed and covetousness are sin. The tenth commandment states: “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s” (Exodus 20:17).Instead of coveting, be thankful for all the blessings God has given you. After all, God promises to provide all your godly needs. That promise is in Philippians 4:19. We need to understand that covetousness is a form of idolatry. We can desire a person, position or possession so strongly that it becomes an idol to us. Remember this admonition: “Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry” (Colossians 3:5).We need to pray, as Jesus taught us, “And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen” (Matthew 6:13).

Deception: Pride, Vanity and Arrogance Selfishness and egotism are part and parcel of human nature. We like to feel important. That desire can lead to deception.

The Apostle Paul instructed Timothy concerning the ordination of a bishop, or an overseer. He wrote that such a candidate should be “not a novice, lest being puffed up with pride he fall into the same condemnation as the devil. Moreover he must have a good testimony among those who are outside, lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil” (1 Timothy 3:6–7).

Do you let pride and vanity guide your thinking and behavior? If so, you can be deceived. You can be snared by the devil. How do you counteract self-centeredness and vanity? The Apostle James wrote: “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up” (James 4:10).Remember the biblical examples of those who cultivated pride, and did not give glory to God? King Herod allowed himself to be worshipped as a god! He cultivated vanity and arrogance. And what happened to him? “So on a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat on his throne and gave an oration to them. And the people kept shouting, ‘The voice of a god and not of a man!’ Then immediately an angel of the Lord struck him, because he did not give glory to God. And he was eaten by worms and died. But the word of God grew and multiplied” (Acts 12:21–24).

Another king, who had to learn lessons the hard way, was King Nebuchadnezzar. When he neglected to take the prophet Daniel’s advice to repent, God took Nebuchadnezzar’s kingdom away from him. And King Nebuchadnezzar lived like an animal for seven years, until he learned his lesson. You can read about that in Daniel 4.We need to be on guard against pride. When God blesses you, give Him the glory. As Paul wrote, “He who glories, let him glory in the Lord” (1 Corinthians 1:31).

Deception: Lying

There is a classic example of lying in the New Testament. Members of the early Christian Church donated property and funds to help fellow Christians. However, one individual named Ananias, committed fraud. He claimed to have given all of the proceeds to the Church, but held back some of the funds. He lied to the Apostle Peter. We read: “But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession. And he kept back part of the proceeds, his wife also being aware of it, and brought a certain part and laid it at the apostles’ feet. But Peter said, ‘Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.’ Then Ananias, hearing these words, fell down and breathed his last. So great fear came upon all those who heard these things” (Acts 5:1–5).

Sapphira came to Peter later. She lied, and she experienced the same judgment as her husband. She died on the spot! We need to understand. Satan is the father of lies, as it states in John 8:44. So, examine yourself. Monitor your communications. Do you shade the truth? Or, do you simply lie? Do not let Satan take advantage of you, as he did with Ananias and Sapphira. Remember the ninth commandment states: “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor” (Exodus 20:16). And we must also realize that we can live a lie. Too many professing Christians are doing just that! As Scripture warns us, “He who says, ‘I know Him,’ and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him” (1 John 2:4).Ask God to help you speak the truth and live the truth!

Deception: False Dreams, Visions and “Miracles”

How many times have individuals told me about dreams or visions that were obviously Satan-inspired? Some thought they had seen Jesus. He supposedly appeared to them wearing the long hair with which He is commonly pictured in our society. But the Jesus of the Bible did not have long hair. Paul wrote: “Doth not even nature itself teach you that if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?” (1 Corinthians 11:14, KJV). Jesus escaped out of crowds on several occasions because He looked like the average Jew of His day. Do not be deceived by dreams, visions, or appealing messages. The Apostle John wrote: “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world” (1 John 4:1).The occult appeals to many people. Some try to contact their deceased relatives through mediums. Children read Harry Potter books and become fascinated with the occult. Satanic video games are popular. You need to educate your children on the dangers of the occult, satanic activities and other demonic influences. God Almighty condemns witchcraft and sorcery. He tells us, “For all who do these things are an abomination to the Lord” (Deuteronomy 18:12). Be sure to read Deuteronomy 18:9–14 and Galatians 5:20 in this regard.

Satan will use dreams, visions and “miracles” to deceive people. The book of Revelation describes the great false prophet who will soon rise on the world scene. Be sure to read this in your own Bible. “Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb [a counterfeit of Christ] and spoke like a dragon. And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived” (Revelation 13:11–14).Do not be deceived! False religious leaders will perform great signs and miracles. Be sure that you test all such leaders with the Bible, the word of God. That is why we say in Tomorrow’s World magazine, and on the Tomorrow’s World telecast, “Don’t believe us; believe your Bible!” As Scripture says, “To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them” (Isaiah 8:20).We can all look forward to the day when Satan the Devil will be cast into the bottomless pit for a thousand years. You can read about that in Revelation 20. In the meantime, we must remain watchful and on guard.

Deception: Bitterness

If we are not careful to watch our feelings, we can become bitter. Perhaps someone offends us. Then the hurt feeling turns into a grudge. Then we start thinking about revenge. If such feelings are nursed and encouraged, they can turn into hate. Then, that hate can turn into bitterness. Christians need to identify and overcome any feelings of hate and bitterness. Notice this instruction: “Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: looking diligently lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled” (Hebrews 12:14–15).

Such bitterness can even lead to the unpardonable sin. How can we counteract those feelings? Simply by following Jesus Christ’s instructions! He taught us: “But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust” (Matthew 5:44–45).Even professing Christians sometimes fall into the trap of plotting revenge for some offense or injustice. God warns us against that attitude: “Do not say, ‘I will recompense evil’; wait for the Lord, and He will save you” (Proverbs 20:22). Our Lord and Savior set the example, that “when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously” (1 Peter 2:23).Pray for God’s intervention—that He will execute His righteous judgment. He will execute vengeance, if it is divinely warranted. Christians should not take vengeance into their own hands and succumb to Satan’s attitude of hate. Scripture warns us: “For we know Him who said, ‘Vengeance is Mine; I will repay,’ says the Lord. And again, ‘The Lord will judge His people.’ It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God” (Hebrews 10:30–31).Christians need to pray for their enemies. Bless those who curse you. That is the Christian way! That is how we can overcome Satan’s infectious attitude of hate and bitterness.

Deception: Lack of Faith.

When Satan attacked him, the patriarch Job remained faithful to God—and learned vital spiritual lessons. At one point, Job said: “For the thing I greatly feared has come upon me, and what I dreaded has happened to me” (Job 3:25). In our modern language, we might call Job’s experience a “self-fulfilling prophecy. “As Christians, we must face our fears with faith, and must pray for God’s protection and intervention. When we study the Bible, and we believe God’s promises, He gives us faith. Scripture reminds us, “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17).Lack of faith opens us to Satanic deceptions. The book of Hebrews recounts the faithlessness of those ancient Israelites who lacked faith and trust in God. We need to learn from their hardness of heart, and avoid it in our own lives. “Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; but exhort one another daily, while it is called ‘Today,’ lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin” (Hebrews 3:12–13).

Those who lack faith in Christ, and who persist in trusting Satan, will ultimately be destroyed. “But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death” (Revelation 21:8). Thankfully, there is also good news for those who have faith and avoid Satan’s deceptions. “He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be my son”. God wants you to be His faithful and trusting son or daughter, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. He will give you His faith, if you turn to Him with your whole heart. In the meantime, arm yourself with spiritual knowledge. Avoid self-deception. Avoid the world’s deceptions. And avoid Satan’s deceptions. As the Apostle Paul reminded us, Christians are not ignorant of Satan’s devices. As regular readers of this magazine know, Bible prophecy foretells of a great future false religious system, inspired by Satan that will influence billions of people all over the earth. By staying close to the true God, you can avoid satanic deception. Do not let yourself be deceived!

In conclusion we must go back to the basic for returning to God and do Repentance so that each and every one will receive the Spirit of God who will enable you see things the way Jesus Christ sees them, sometimes I get grief about how people have been lied to in this generation regarding the revelation of Christ and his word, people get SATAN Revelations about Jesus Christ of the movie who acted as Jesus Christ and they think Jesus Christ has appeared to them, this is because of the false anointing in the churches today since the head of those churches are not truth thereof the followers will get revelations from the Spirit of Satan and SATAN will manifest to them as the Light but in reality these are being deceived, I can assure today, a few people understand the spiritual dimension of God’s works and how he does his works.

So all the people have been led astray because of ignorance about Christ and God’s word because they have received the Spirit of error. For you now to get things right you will need to get first things first by Repenting to God and turn from thy evil deeds and seek the true God and true Christ Jesus otherwise, people will remain in the view of the Pharisees who saw Jesus Christ in physical realms and did not know him in his Spiritual richness and were left out because they were ignorant and they thought they knew.

Don’t be deceived, Look for the power of God through Faith in Christ Jesus who will give you more revelations about his riches and realities in the Spiritual realms through his Precious Holy Spirit the Spirit of truth, who testifies truth and reveals truth.

We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. For since the message spoken through angels was binding, and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment, how shall we escape if we ignore so great a salvation? This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him. God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will. Hebrews2; 1-4
